WA Paid Family & Medical Leave

Washington State employers begin collecting premiums on January 1, 2019 for the first quarterly report to Employment Security Department due April 30th, 2019. Washington Paid Family & Medical Leave will be funded by a premium on gross wages with the cost shared by employees and many employers. Starting in 2020 paid family and medical leave benefits will be available to workers.
